We wanted to send a heartfelt thank you for building our family a beautiful new home. We have constantly heard from friends and family how difficult, stressful, and time consuming building a new home can be. Building a Royal Dominion home however, was completely the opposite experience. We appreciate your honesty, fairness and willingness to answer any questions we had. You were always available by phone, e-mail, or the casual drive-by at the construction site.

Since this was the first house we have built, I know we had many questions and just appreciate everyone being so accommodating. Today, it is difficult to find individuals who actually follow through with what they promise, and who do things the right way. We are so grateful to have met Roger and everyone on the Royal Dominion team. We want to sincerely thank you for building the house of our dreams, and we wish you much success in the future!

We wanted to take a minute to let you know how happy we have been working with Royal Dominion over the past six months. This is our 3rd time building a home and we felt that Royal Dominion exceeded the expectations set by the other two builders.

Tim, our construction manager, was always available to us by phone and was consistently knowledgeable, helpful, and considerate. Anytime we stopped by the work site (and we stopped by often) it was extremely clean and neat. Construction was always on schedule and we managed to move into the house exactly upon the projected move in date that was set six months prior.

The sales team was flexible, helpful and willing to work with us from beginning to end.

The best part of the process were the surprises. There were some things we did not know going into the process and without fail every unknown detail proved to be a pleasant surprise. The materials used always exceeded our expectations set by other builders.

Finally, the community that we live in has a much more "custom" feel to it due to the Royal Dominion homes and each homeowners ability to create their own look. It provides a much more charming environment compared to the "cookie cutter" neighborhoods we have lived in in the past.

It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I am writing to endorse Royal Dominion Homes’ proposal and interest in developing real estate property for single family homes in Glen Allen, VA. My husband Alan and I had the pleasure of working with Roger and his team during the construction of our home in Ketterley at Grey Oaks. Alan and I also considered a Ryan Home but Royal Dominion was able to meet all of our needs where Ryan Homes was only able to satisfy a few. I hope my perspective will be helpful to you as you evaluate both builders in the development of your property.

My first contact with Royal Dominion Homes was via a brief phone call with Roger Zurasky, President of Royal Dominion Homes in the spring of 2008. I had recently met with a sales representative of Ryan Homes and was very dissatisfied and frustrated with their inflexibility of minor changes and misrepresentation of “extras” in their model homes. Roger simply asked me what was I looking for in a home and then …he listened. After I had provided a few details he made a floor plan and lot recommendation. To my surprise, with the little amount of information I provided, the suggestion was a perfect match. Roger had taken an “okay” floor plan and with a few changes created a fabulous functional floor plan perfect for a family of 6. We basically bought the house over the phone.

During the course of the contract negotiations, Roger and his team presented themselves with such ease and integrity that they set the tone for our entire construction relationship, one of give and take, honest opinions and facts. Their openness and willingness to modify the floor plans bred collaboration and creative ideas, something that I could not fulfill with Ryan Homes. Additionally, we found that most of the “extras” or “upgrades” offered by other home builders, Royal Dominion offered as standard.

Over the past year that we have had the pleasure of owning and living in a Royal Dominion home, we have had few issues. The minor issues we’ve had, Royal Dominion has surpassed our expectations in customer service and problem solution. During the construction of the neighboring homes it wasn’t unusual to see the Royal Dominion Project Managers outside of our house stopping by to check to see if everything was okay. I recall an instance where the PM noticed something wasn’t quit right around our air conditioning units, the grade had sunken with the settling of the house. He came back, filled it in and re-graded that same day. This was something that an average person would not notice; only an expert in the field would be able to tell that the grade wasn’t right. Examples like this are the reasons we have enormous respect for their commitment to customer service and the integrity with which they do their job. In my opinion Roger and Royal Dominion Homes has distinguished themselves as a conscientious and energetic pioneer in value craftsmanship and customer service.

It has been an honor and privilege to be considered one of Royal Dominion’s first customers and Alan and I have the greatest admiration for their work. We will always recommend Royal Dominion Homes, we are proud to be a Royal Dominion Home buyer and, if we ever decide to move, a Royal Dominion neighborhood will be top of the list for consideration.

I know of Royal Dominion’s continued interest in expansion into other areas around Glen Allen and believe that they have instituted an impressive team of professionals dedicated to delivering customer satisfaction, quality craftsmanship and great value to their customers. I wanted to share with you how grateful and happy my family and I are living in our beautiful new home that Royal Dominion has built for us.

We met with you over a year ago and decided to build our house with Royal Dominion. They both were very friendly and easy to work with and were available to answer any questions. We made quite a few changes to the original Lexington floor plan and Royal Dominion was able to accommodate every single one. Peyton was a great site manager and was also available to answer any questions we had.

It’s so refreshing in this economic market to work with professionals who enjoy what they do and are friendly while doing it.

Royal Dominion started building our home in September last year and we moved in mid January 2009. Royal Dominion surpassed our expectations in the date of completion of our home and we were thrilled to move in early! That never happens with other builders!

My husband and our two children are thoroughly enjoying our new home, neighborhood, new friends and community. As my husband says almost everyday “I love our new house”! He has never said that before in any house we’ve lived in and this is our fifth house and we’ve built two and renovated two.

There are so many times that we have meant to mention something and amazingly your crew has anticipated, corrected/changed/fixed it before we’ve said a word. You’ve got to be proud that the RDH group sensitive to customer needs in addition to being extremely knowledgeable at the craft of homebuilding – a rare combination in the industry to say the least. When a new challenge is presented, your group always rises to the occasion. I can’t tell you what a pleasure it has been building this house with RDH. We all know what a headache the process can be for everyone involved. I can only hope we’ve been good customers in return. We are very pleased with the progress of this home. You should know that we had a friend who does inspections and home renovations take a look. He’d never heard of RDH. After taking a thorough look around, he said your construction far exceeds other new home construction he has inspected. He said the quality of materials and workmanship were both excellent. His ONLY recommendation was to have the electricians test radiant floor heating before the tile was laid. How good a report card is that?!!? Please keep up the excellent work. We look forward to this house becoming “home” in the very near future.
